Spring is here!
Cecelia working on the sand.
Working on Isabella and Josh, to get them up and down the playground.
Josh ponders his next move.
Isabella thinks about going down the slide.
Then decides to head higher!
Cecelia shows off some climbing skills... except the bar she standing on doesn't let go of her shoe, and she went shoeless for a while.
Josh after going down the slide... "Now what do I do?"
Isaiah falls asleep. Awwww...
Josh gets an idea.
Kendall entertains Isaiah.
Spent a big chuck of the morning at the park today. Usually Josh has a morning nap, today he didn't, and didn't even last to lunch.
For some reason, Kendall likes to give Maeve birthday parties, and promptly brings every toy she can get her hands on, and give Maeve presents. Which isn't too bad, except she doesn't want to help put the toys away. Then today, Maeve threw a bunch of them off the deck to the yard below.
Isaiah in another happy moment.
Cecelia combines the work of the winch on the boat, AND towtruck.
Got a new bench installed on our dock today. It is sooo cool.
I let the girls feel how cold the water is still... it was ice last weekend.
Enjoying our dock.

Linkert Easter Days
Friday, April 10, 2009
Here a heron sits. Weird.
We colored our eggs the other day. The girls really enjoyed that.
Cecelia only dropped two!
Maeve didn't drop any... though daddy didn't really let her have the chance.
With only a couple kids this week, and the relatively nice weather, we hiked up to visit Maeve in her class.
Kendall and Cecelia did a great job walking, staying on the side of the road, and staying close to me. Maeve was very excited to see us.
Here we are in the classroom after the rest of the class departed. Josh didn't enjoy himself so much.
Maeve's teacher found a great room for us to take over so we could enjoy the picnic lunch I packed up.
With just Cecelia and Kendall, we went to the park to try out the tricycles. Kendall did pretty well, but then got frustrated and fell down shortly after this picture was taken.
After some encouragement, she got up, and then pulled her tricycle in the grass. I wasn't sure what she was up to...
She pulled it all the way over to the sand and playground, and tried to ride it there. I think she thought if she fell again, it wouldn't hurt so much.
Got a great video of Cecelia on the tricycle, but only taking left turns.
I noticed last year how this set of trees were some of the first to bud, and leaf, so I'm going to try to document that this season. I took the girls around the park so they could see the trees were starting to bud.
Be wary of the creatures that lurk beneath the dark, murky waters.... mwha - ha- ha- ha haaaaa
Josh turned 1 year old this week, so we celebrated with some cake.
As I was making lunch, I told the kids I thought I saw a bunny on the deck. They all scrambled to see it.
"I see Easter Eggs!"
Josh found the green one that's a couple feet in front of him.
Did Kendall find an egg? No that's just a shovel for the sandbox.
Of course I had to give hints for the last couple eggs. They kept looking around on the ground. "Look up" I tell them.
"There it is!"
"Daddy, I can't reach it..."
It was a fun hunt!
Enjoying the fruits (or candy) of the hunt.
So last night, Janet took the girls out on a Heffalump expedition. They came back empty handed, so as we were getting things together to head upstair to get ready for bed, Maeve is suddenly trying to lasso Steerforth (successfully I might add...)

The Linkerts from Michigan, to New York, to New Jersey.
Girl one, ready.
Girl two... ready?
After a stop in Chicago, where we didn't take any pictures, we visited Janet's cousin, Trudy, and her family in Brighton MI. Here are the girls with Kalista.
After a nice stay there, we bolted in the middle of the night, drove through Canada, and stopped to check out Niagra Falls.
It was cold there, and not very pleasant with the mist of the falls about us.
Stopped in Buffalo, NY to visit Janet's friend, Tracy.
Cecelia, showing off her pony in Binghamton NY.
Spent some nice time with Mary and her family.
Playing on the driveway with Emily.
Enjoyed Storybook Garden.
Maeve flashes a move at the Discovery Center.
Playing with Max at the park.
You gotta love a cousin who'll spin the kids on the tire.
Emily shows Cecelia the finer points of paper umbrella's at a Japanese restaurant.
The kids showing their umbrellas.
The cook fires up some excitement. Maeve watches cautiously. Cecelia also wasn't too sure about it, but she stayed brave, and watched carefully.
Maeve tries the chopsticks out.
Cecelia tries out them out too.
A fun meal in Binghamton!
Cecelia gets her very first hair cut.
An odd coincidence to share... Janet and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on March 27. And it just happened to be that day when we started with Mary, Janet's Maid of honor, in Binghamton...
Than drove to Princeton NJ for the wedding rehearsal of Scott Johns, my best man. When will the stars align better than that for us, huh?
Scott's wedding before bride.
Here comes Michele, very stunning I'm sure you'll agree.
The bride and groom, happily married.
Terasina and I making our recession. I was very lucky to have the best looking bridesmaid.
Janet and I after the wedding.
The wedding took place at the chapel on Princeton's campus. So we walked around having the wedding party's picture taken at various buildings.
The smallest bottles of ketchup I'd ever seen.
Sue and Mike Johns, finally able to relax the following day.
The happy couple, Scott and Michele Johns.
